This student tour in Cambodia covers the highlights and rich history of the country. Students will arrive in Phnom Penh, where they will visit museums, palaces, and the Silver Pagoda, before taking excursions to the Mekong Riverfront, as well as the Killing Fields for an insight into Cambodia’s tumultuous past. The school trip continues to Siem Reap for exploration of the legendary Angkor Wat, a temple complex where history comes alive beyond the textbook. Stay for sunset, and meet the resident monks to offer alms. Students will gain insight into the culture, history, and world religion through our educational tours, and embrace different ways of living, with visits to Kompong Phhluk - a floating village built on stilts on the Tonle Sap River.

Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, you will be greeted by our guide at the airport and transferred to your downtown hotel. Depending on your arrival time you may have a short city tour in the afternoon or just relax in the hotel after check-in. In the evening, we will have a tour briefing and a welcome dinner featuring Khmer delicacies.

Today your journey includes a guided tour of the National Museum, the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda. 

  • The Royal Palace was built in 1866 by King Norodom and is now home to His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk Mony, King of Cambodia.
  • The Silver Pagoda is located within the Royal Palace compound, so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles; among the treasures are a solid gold Buddha encrusted with 9,584 diamonds weighing 90 kg, and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha.
  • The National Museum, home to the world's finest collection of Khmer sculpture 

In the evening, experience the fun cyclo ride to Wat Phnom and Independence Monument.

Today, we will head out of Phnom Penh 15 kilometers to see Beoung Cheoung Ek Memorial Museum (Killing Fields) with your tour guide. On the way back, we will visit the Toul Sleng Museum (S-21)

Today we will travel to Siem Reap by private coach after breakfast. Your journey will take about 6 hours and we will stop along the way to see the local villages such as Kampong Thom. Arrive to Siem Reap in the late afternoon.

After check-in in your hotel in Siem Reap we will go out for an early dinner at the famous local restaurant.

Today you are invited to a Local Pagoda where you will met the resident monks and offer alms, followed by a Buddhist blessing ceremony.

Next visit Angkor Thom (Bayon Temple), the former capital of the great Khmer empire.

You will enter through the South Gate, decorated with four giant stone faces – an instantly recognisable image and example of classical Khmer craftsmanship. Your tour of the intriguing perfectly square, ancient walled city includes a stop at Baphuon (a sanctuary dedicated to Brahmanism); Phimeanakas Temple, where kings as a ceremonial stage. You expert guide will also take you to visit the amazingly well-detailed bas reliefs at the Terrace of the Leper King.

This afternoon, visit the legendary Angkor Wat until sunset, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

As the symbol and the soul of the Khmer people, the magnificent Angkor Wat temple was built during the reign of King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. Historians believe that many of the fascinating reliefs and stone carvings immortalize many of the mighty king’s wars. Images of Apsara dances decorate the five famous towers which replicate the universe according to Hindo mythology.

Please note: visitors are required to wear respectful attire when visiting temples and religious sites, covering shoulders and knees (no short trousers). 

Tonight, you are invited to a special  dinner accompanied by a traditional Apsara dance performance.

Today, we will visit the great Tonle Sap Lake, and take a boat excursion to explore the village of Kompong Phhluk on stilts.

Explore this great ecosystem by way of canoeing and hear the calls of the birds or macaque monkeys while observing the forest beneath the lake’s surface, you’ll see the Buddhist temple is standing on the island with some beautiful Buddhist life painting on the ceiling.

Return to town to visit the school of fine art “Le Artisan D'Angkor”.

Enjoy your free time in the morning to discover Siem Reap on your own. After checking out at noon, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight home.

Your Cambodia visas are included in our tour and we act on your behalf to apply for the visas, all necessary documents relating to your visa application will have to be provided to us at least 90 days before your departure. If you fail to provide the necessary documents before 90 days prior to your departure, we will not be held liable for your visa application. 

The visa fee included in our tour is not refundable in any circumstances. 

Important Note:

·       All travellers must have a valid passport for international travel and most countries require at least 6 months validity from the date of return and some countries require a machine‐readable passport.

·       If you provide all necessary documents relating to your visa application in less than 90 day before departure, an additional fee of $120 per person will incur. 

·       It is your sole responsibility for any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not satisfying the requirements of those authorities

·       Travellers might need to present the visas at multiple checkpoints and may be refused to fly out of their countries, if the visa documents cannot be presented. If such an event occurs, we won’t be liable, and the travellers will be deemed as “no-show”. Please check our term and condition for a ‘’No-show” penalty.
