This student tour in Vietnam focuses on history, and spends 11 days of in-depth exploration of the Vietnamese story from ancient times until today. Commencing in Ho Chi Minh City, students will journey from Southern to Northern Vietnam, crossing the country to visit significant temples, tombs, ancient ruins, and War heritage sites like the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, ancient battlefields of Khe Sanh, and the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Our educational tours also include exciting community projects; this school trip will contribute to building classrooms for less fortunate children of the Mekong Delta. Your group will finish the trip by visiting the ancient town of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

On arrival to Ho Chi Minh City your group will be welcomed by our Tour Director and Tour Guide before transferring to your hotel where our Tour Director will assist your group with checking-in. After check-in, you will have some free time to rest and then our Tour Director and Tour Guide will take your group out for a Welcome Dinner. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

Our driver and tour guide will pick your group up from your hotel at 8am and travel to Cu Chi Tunnel. The Cu Chi tunnels are known as the “Iron Triangle” or “Iron Land”. Before entering the tunnels, we will see a short introductory video showing how they were constructed. Next our tour guide will take you to explore the maze of tunnels.

After that we will stop for lunch on the way back to Ho Chi Minh city for the city tour.

Ho Chi Minh city, formerly named Saigon is a largest city of Vietnam. In this tour you will learn about Vietnamese history in the War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace, admire French-colonial architecture at the General Post Office, Opera House and Notre Dame Cathedral.

Our driver will transfer your group back to your hotel around 5.30pm. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

Our driver and tour director will pick your group up from hotel lobby at 7.30am. We will then travel to Cai Be which is a colourful floating market.

Cai Be is known as a wholesale floating market where wholesalers on big boats come to moor. Retail buyers often take smaller boats so they can easily manoeuvre around the markets. Above the wholesaler’s boats are tall wooden poles which display samples of what they are selling.<><> Our next stop is at local workshops to see how rice paste, coconut candy and pop-rice, pop-corn made.

After that we will board the rowing boat that will take us deeper in to the countryside along the smaller canals you will see the traditional houses made of wood & palm tree leaves as well as watch the local farmers fishing.

After lunch, we will visit the fruit garden and listen to the traditional music. Next we will travel by bike along the village paths to see the local farms, houses. Around 3.30 pm we will cruise back to Vinh Long city where we take our driver will Transfer your group to your accommodation. Overnight in Mekong Delta.

After breakfast our Tour Director will take your group to visit the less fortunate children of the Mekong Delta. The local council will be notified of your group’s visit and after meeting at the local community hall, you will have time to interact with the village children.

We strongly encourage people to make much needed contributions of old clothing and toys to the local children.

After lunch, our tour director will take you to participate in projects such as building schoolrooms for the children of the community. Later that afternoon our driver and tour director will transfer your group back to your accommodation in Ho Chi Minh. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

After breakfast our Driver and Tour Director will pick your group up and transfer you to the airport for your short domestic flight to Hue, which was the capital of Vietnam during the Nguyen dynasty in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

On arrival in Hue our local tour guide and driver will meet you at the airport and transfer your group to your Hue hotel where our tour director will assist you with checking in.

Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Hue.

After breakfast our tour director and driver will pick your group up from your hotel lobby around 8am before boarding the Dragon boat to cruise the Perfume River. Our first stop is the charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda), before continuing on to visit King Khai Dinh’s Tomb and King Tu Duc’s Tomb. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will visit Hue Imperial City, the home of Vietnam’s last royal Dynasty, then travel on to Dong Ba Market to see the daily life of local people.

Hue, Vietnam’s former Royal Capital, is a city that represents the outstanding demonstration of the power of the vanished Vietnamese feudal empire, including a complex of monuments, tombs and pagodas that attract tourists coming from all over the world.

Our driver will drop your group back at your hotel around 5 pm. Overnight in Hue.

After breakfast our tour director and driver will pick your group up from your Hue hotel around 8am and drive north to the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone). From Dong Ha town we will visit the ancient battle fields Khe Sanh and historic sites including the Rockpile, the Ho Chi Minh Trail, Ta Con Airfield.

After lunch we will visit Van Kieu ethnic minorities in the Central of Vietnam and pass the Ben Hai river before proceeding to the amazing tunnels of Vinh Moc.

During Vietnam-American War, the Ben Hai River was demarcation line between North and South Vietnam. The Demilitarized Zone was five km each site from the river banks. However, during the war, the Southern area of DMZ was one of the bloodiest battlefields.

Our tour guide will drop your group off at your hotel around 5pm. Overnight in Hue.

After breakfast our tour director and driver will pick your group up from your hotel around 7.30am and transfer you to the enchanting port town of Hoi An, which was declared a World Heritage Site in 1998 (Hoi An is a great case study for any student who is interested in sustainable tourism). On the way we stop at the famed China Beach.

This evening our driver and tour director will take you into Hoi An to explore the town famous for its tailors and great food. After dinner your group will be transferred back to your hotel. Overnight in Hoi An.

Our tour director and driver will pick your group up from your hotel at 7.30am and transfer you to My Son Holy Land. Located in a lush valley, My Son was a capital and religious centre of Cham people, now remaining with red brick towers and sanctuaries which were built from the 7th to 13rd centuries.

Next we will transfer to Hoi An for lunch and a short break we will explore the town of Hoi An, visiting the 400 year old Japanese Bridge, 300 years old Chinese temples and 200 year old Vietnamese former merchants’ houses. Our driver will drop your group off at your hotel around 4 pm to freshen up before our tour director takes you out for a Farewell Dinner. Overnight in Hoi An.

Morning at leisure. Our tour director will assist your group with checking out of your accommodation. After lunch our driver and tour director will pick your group up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport for your 5pm departure home.

For some countries, their citizens are eligible for a Vietnam Visa exemption for limited duration, and do not need a Vietnam Visa.

Otherwise, your Vietnam visas are included in our tour and we act on your behalf to apply for the visas, all necessary documents relating to your visa application will have to be provided to us at least 90 days before your departure. If you fail to provide the necessary documents before 90 days prior to your departure, we will not be held liable for your visa application. 

The visa fee included in our tour is not refundable in any circumstances. 

Important Note:

  • All travellers must have a valid passport for international travel and most countries require at least 6 months validity from the date of return and some countries require a machine‐readable passport.
  • If you provide all necessary documents relating to your visa application in less than 90 day before departure, an additional fee of $120 per person will incur. 
  • It is your sole responsibility for any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not satisfying the requirements of those authorities.
  • Travellers might need to present the visas at multiple checkpoints and may be refused to fly out of their countries, if the visa documents cannot be presented. If such an event occurs, we won’t be liable, and the travellers will be deemed as “no-show”. Please check our term and condition for a ‘’No-show”.
